a note about handicap and rules...

Dear Fellow Members:

Welcome back to all our returning members and welcome to all our new members joining us for the first time.

Topstone Men’s Club events are governed by the Rules of Golf, as adopted by the USGA. To maintain the high quality and success of our Men’s Club, it is important for you to be familiar with these rules.

Knowledge of local rules, pace of play and golf etiquette go hand in hand with an enjoyable, good paced round of golf. Please read through the links on the our site to help understand the importance of Ready Golf. Additionally, your knowledge of Local Rules is important to an enjoyable round at Topstone. You never know when a local rule may save you a stroke or two during a round of golf, or may save you the time it takes to make that long and possibly unnecessary walk back to the tee to hit your third shot. Variances from USGA rules will be posted on the first tee on the day of the event. Please also read the Men's Club Rules governing our Tournaments.

Finally, please contact me should you have questions and recommendations about rules, handicap or pace-of-play issues. I look forward in hearing about your ideas and suggestions for improving our club.

Thank you and enjoy your golf season!

Gene Sullivan,
Handicap & Rules Chairman
